Not able to attend yesterday but I went from Shapwick Bridge to Decoy this morning and added 3 to my year list. Willow Warbler singing along the path, many Sand Martins and at least 2 Swallows over Decoy Lake. Plenty of Chiff Chaff and Blackcaps also in song. On the lake, 2 female Ring-necked and 2 female Goldeneye still present plus plenty of Tufted and Pochard.
A good walk for the small group you braved the weather for the SOS field meeting this morning, we kept dry too. Highlights were two female Goldeneye, three Ring-necked Duck, hundreds of Sand Martins and the more usual Great White Egret , Great Crested Grebe and Marsh Harrier all from the decoy hide. The woods were a little quiet but Chiff Chaff and Cettis Warbler were singing and we also saw two Redwing.
