I saw a Wheatear along the sea wall today. My records show one there on July 13 last year as well. Also a summer plumage Golden Plover which flew across the estuary to Steart when disturbed from the tide line.
Juvenile Wheatear on the grass along the sea wall this morning - almost the earliest ‘autumn’ bird I have ever see here (usually late July/early August)... though I assume this might be a local bird (Exmoor?) rather than a genuine migrant…? Otherwise very quiet.
