Interestingly one has returned to slimbridge again with even whiter head: https://twitter.com/slimbridge_wild/status/1666710993307594752

There are quite a lot of pics of the slimbridge bird on Twitter, which appeared day after steart one went & disappeared day before this individual appeared - left side much as you describe, right shows more dark

Mine show May had quite a lot of dark on head, but does appear to be same basic pattern on right as slimbridge:

My only pic of left side shows more black, but isn’t in focus & Slimbridge definitely varies with angle, so not conclusive

Haven’t seen any photos from catcott

...and still this pm…

Has a small amount of dark above the eye and along the crown edge, or something like that. Can anyone help work out if it’s the one seen on and off at Steart throughout May?
And can anyone give plumage details for the Catcott two from Friday?

Cheers.
