Has been suggested before but it appears to be a Eurasian & baby hybrids are certainly a possibility

The very handsome American wigeon appeared to have bonded with a female. Does anyone know - is it likely a Eurasian wigeon female? Not sure how likely an American female is to turn up in Somerset?
If Eurasian, would they breed, or simply be amorous? Thanks.
