Lovely sunny start to the day with a couple of early hours at Greylake.
Red Kite
Buzzard
Marsh Harrier x2
Bittern (my first sight of the Greylake Bittern) in 2022. Just might have been 2 males booming at one point
Grey White Egret which caught a huge fish and had to fly into the grass to kill it before being able to swallow in one
Juvenile Grey Heron
Cuckoo (Heard not seen but fairly mobile)
A delightful family of Little Grebes
Male Sedge Warbler singing its heart out from the same post so maybe looking for a mate.
Yellow Wagtails (2 f)
Distant View of Common Cranes
Grass Snake crossing return path to Car Park
Sounds like the bushes are full of fledgings being fed.
