Been away to Devon for a few days, and tho slightly over the border, heard one calling very strong in Valley of Rocks, we then proceeded up over to Porlock later in the day and heard my second of the day [and the year] again a very strong call, so possibly quite close

Heard my first cuckoo of the year this morning, a few yards from the three arch bridge over the River Tone, near Nynehead Court
