A plethora of spring arrivals at Steart. A sedge warbler singing near the car park, a reed warbler near the first pond, then whitethroat and a very brief lesser whitethroat in bushes before Parrett Hide. Then at Stolford, a flock of 6 whimbrel on the beach (around 2.30pm) and a wheatear - a couple said they had seen 15 there this morning, but given the number of dogs, I imagine they’d moved on.
