More new spring migrants today. In addition to the Common Tern on Noahs, there was a single Common Sandpiper and a male Garganey on the Meare scrape. Glossy Ibis also there again at 9.20.

3 Willow Warblers in full song at Ham Wall this morning, along with numerous Blackcaps and the usual array of species. 4 GWEs from the Ashcott railway bridge and roughly 30 Sand Martins through in smaller groups throughout the morning, much fewer than the 200+ I encountered there on Weds.

Swallow at the Huntspill Sluice and White Wagtail at the Huntspill SW outfall this afternoon, both firsts for me this year.

A Willow Warbler and several Blackcaps singing in Shapwick Heath this morning. Still good numbers of Sand Martins over Noah’s Lake
