I arrived at 08.00 before high tide with low expectations but as soon as i reached the beach from the Golf course, I saw a flock of Black headed gulls that later included some Med Gulls (thanks James) and a small flock of 5 Red Knot in partial summer plumage. Just 100 yards away was a large flock of Dunlin (4-500), Sanderling 100 or so in a mixture of plumage and Ringed Plover 10. There were also a lot of hirundines over both the dunes and the sea. The highlight was a flock of 14 Manx Shearwaters that moved north east off the shore at around 08.30, the first I have ever seen from there.
