This morning I found a singing Blyths reed warbler whilst doing my BBS survey near Langport. It was beside a public right of way. I havent seen or heard it since 10.00 but it might be worth a try later. I got a decent sound recording which I could upload if I knew how to!! Directions - just as you leave Langport heading west on the A378, cross the river Parret then after 150m or so take the left turn into Frog Lane (it may be best to take the first left turn immediately after the Parret as there is a small public car park down here.) Go down Fog lane until reaching the first track off on the left .The bird was singing from the hedge on the left (east) side of the track (opposite the beech hedge of some houses) straight on from the junction after approx 50m and 50m beyond the house sign saying Tuckers Hill.
