Nice to hear the lake at Bickley is busy and I can confirm the house martins as I was near the STW on Monday afternoon.

I was told at the weekend that otters were seen off the old bridge over the Tone nr Nynehead, then someone at work told me that otters were also in the stream that runs through Chipley, seen in the field that has a footpath running along one edge, between the old saw mill and the road.

Lots of Sand Matins with a few Swallows and the odd House Martin at Tonedale STW this afternoon. I’d guess 80\100 birds in total.  Walked on to Bickley Farm lake NW of Nynehead where along with the 30+ Canada Geese were 7 Tufted Ducks and a single Coot.
