The netting conditions were good,with no wind and a bit of cloud cover.The days catch of new birds was as follows :-
           
      Willow warbler   10
      Chiffchaff           6
        Blackcap           6   (5 males and 1 female)
        Redstart           1

    In addition there were two retraps.

    A Chiffchaff that was ringed as a juvenile back in June 2020. The other was a Blackcap that was first ringed on 20th November 2020 and subsequently retrapped in December, January and February and so was a Winter visitor. It weighed in at 21 grams, which the heaviest one caught today. So presumably building up some reserves, before heading off to central Europe for the Summer.
