Single Swift over Coleford this afternoon

2 swifts among a flock of circling swallows over Wells this morning.

Just to mention a single Swift, over Chipstable this morning; the latest observed during the 21 years we’ve lived here.

There was a movement of swifts heading West over Five Bells, today. It was difficult to assess the numbers as they appeared to pass over in ones and twos, seen from about 12.30 p.m. and some did a circuit and doubled back. Several little groups of up to 5 individuals were observed at one time, the last swift was seen flying west at 3.00 p.m.

2 swifts over Rode village yesterday afternoon, but none in Frome the last few days.

Swift flying up towards eaves of a house at dusk this evening in Shepton Mallet.
