At 9.40 this morning a Wryneck was seen briefly on the fence line opposite the cattle grid which leads to Lucott cross coming from the Porlock direction, a nice selection of birds with it included Redstart Stonechat meadow Pipit and Linnet. Several other birders looking for it later failed to see it again and a return visit at around 16.00 only 5+ Wheatear and 8 Golden Plover my 1st returning ones were seen
