It was me that saw the purple heron at Shapwick Heath yesterday. The photo I got isn’t the best and a coupe of people are questioning whether it is a purple. It was seen and positively identified an hour before I saw it. It was coming from the same place it went earlier. I’m sure it was a purple which has been seen on several occasions over the last few weeks on Shapwick.
