walking along to long run meadow I noticed fluttering about on the stinging nettles, was a butterfly that I had not seen for a few years.it was a white admiral . I wonder if anyone else has seen one.lots of swifts and house martins, goldfinches,no sign of the green woodpecker.along galmington stream a kingfisher ,and grey wagtail.

Hi Kate

There aren’t any county records for White Admirals in the Taunton area, so what a great find.

Please could you contact the Somerset County Butterfly Recorder with more information about your sighting (date, grid ref)
