Weds evening on the Quantocks - walking down and back up one of the Combes I heard 3 Wood warblers, saw 2 pied fly (less than previously , but slightly later in the year, so maybe they are quieter with nests established) garden warbler, Marsh tit and more usual woodland birds. Had a listen for nightjars (away from known areas) but nothing by 10pm, although tawny owl and three cuckoos were calling.
