Wren singing everywhere, Good numbers of Whitethroat, Sedge Warbler, Skylark , Reed Bunting, also Goldfinch, Linnet, several Stonechat and a few Wheatear.  Several Buzzards enjoying the breeze. Blackcap &  Chiffchaff very common in Cinnamon Lane and on the drove out to the moor with several Reed Warblers singing in a very small patch of reed as you walk down to the river.  It’s a crying shame how all of the travellers’ caravans ( over 20 now) have ruined what was such a beautiful place and walk.  It’s now like a shanty town, Skid Row   or a scene from Mad Max …Sigh!
First fields being ploughed today so lots of Herring & LBB Gulls with the Rooks. Nice to have the Barn Owl back on the moor.  A few Gadwall now established on the moor.
I saw my first House Martins of the Spring / Summer today and I can confirm that Ravens are breeding in Cinnamon Lane again after a few years away
