short ear owls have been in low numbers on Exmoor this winter only 2or 3 seen at any time to wet and lack of prey I expect harriers also in low numbers only a couple of ringtails and 1 male covering a big area   so luck is needed to see any of them

There were 2 Little Owls sunning themselves along Honeygar Lane, Westhay today 13th Feb. I have seen very few reports of Short Eared Owls so far this winter.

One Little Owl along Honeygar Lane in Westhay yesterday evening. A pair have been there for several years now.

I checked out a pair of Little Owls on Saturday morning near Frome, heard many Tawny owls at home but no other Owls so far during January

Having been up and about early yesterday and this morning, I was able to identify 2 species of Owls already this year. In Wedmore yesterday at 7.00, at least three Tawny Owls were calling loudly. This morning at 7.50 there was enough light to see a Barn Owl flying close to the B3151 road between Westhay and the turning to Tealham Moor.
