American Golden Plover located this morning after a 2 hr+ search, viewed from the Quantock Hide. A great edition to my Somerset List

American Golden Plover still present this morning, waders regularly spooked by Marsh Harriers and Sparrowhawk but with patience good views obtained. Also Spoonbill, Ruff and three Spotted Redshanks.

Showing fairly distantly from Quantock View hide for most of today as far as I’m aware. Also Spoonbill, Wood Sandpiper and Ruff

Following on from the postings under the heading “More Spoonbills Steart 17/09”, the American Golden Plover that was found on Saturday morning (28th) and seen again yesterday (29th) was once again giving reasonable, if distant, ‘scope views from the Quantock View hide on Otterhampton Marsh this morning, and was still present when I left there at 11:30 hrs.
My thanks to Brian Gibbs & Clive Sawyer for the temporary use of their ‘scopes. Note to self: don’t leave it at home!
