Went to the Hide between 06:20 - 06:50 this morning for a quick visit hoping to see the Wood Sandpiper. It was not present but did see a Water Rail. There was an update in the Hide Logbook by someone after mine saying that the Wood Sand was seen again at 18:15 after being flushed by a Marsh Harrier.
I then went onto North Hide at Westhay where I saw a further 2 Water Rail amongst the reeds. They were calling to each other for a good 20 mins and eventually showed. Didn’t expect to see 3 this morning. A few photo’s…..
