A single WHITE Mute Swan Cygnet has again appeared this year on Noah’s Lake Shapwick Heath together with two siblings of the normal ‘grey’ colour. presumably the parent bird carrying the ‘Polish’ gene is the same bird that has produced such cygnets here in the last several years. In October 2018 I noticed a ‘Polish’ cygnet with three grey siblings on the Westhay Moor reserve,
On the roof of the tin shed on Noah’s Lake this morning was an Egyptian Goose, presumably worried about the rising water level being caused by today’s heavy rain!
