I was sitting in the Barbara Handley Hide at Shapwick Moor Nature Reserve watching the birds on the feeders at around 1:30pm A Hen Harrier dropped in the field far out in front of me it came from the Catcott area. I recognised it as soon as I saw it. About a dozen fieldfares took off. I didn’t know they were there at the time. It stayed on the ground for about 5 minutes then took off towards the Canada Hide area. I briskly headed off in that direction and when I got to the Canada hide it was to the far right out on the lake on a tree where the cormorants sit. Just too far for photo’s. Stayed for 5 mins and headed back in the direction from where it came from. Again I headed back towards the Barbara Handley Hide. I could see it had landed on the ground under the distant Owl box. It stayed again for a short while and headed towards Burtle area.

I took some photos from The BH Hide but too far out even for a 600mm with Teleconvertor. It Was poor light and misty so apologies for the quality but you should be able to make it out. The last photo is uncropped hopefully you will be able to recognise the scenery and location.
