An unashamed year listing expedition between Wootton House and the Poldens yielded a good variety of birds in lovely winter sunshine this morning.
Year birds for me were Greenfinch, Red legged Partridge and Yellowhammer (8 seen) while good numbers of Redwings, Fieldfares, Chaffinch and Goldfinch were around, a Song Thrush was singing. Pied Wagtails and a Bullfinch completed an interesting list in half an hour.
