Cattle Egret still present this afternoon at Stockland Marsh - seen in flight distantly from Stockland Bristol with 3 Little Egrets, it landed in the field west of the one with the plastic bales. Along the permissive path near dusk, 3 Green Sandpipers flew over together calling, both Water and Meadow Pipits heard but not seen, and a Fox sauntering along the back of the marsh.
The Cattle Egret was on Stockland Marsh again today, with Mute Swans and 12 Little Egret in the field with the black plastic wrapped bales. Also 2 Water Pipits on the path approaching that field, and 2 Green Sandpipers flushed from a ditch alongside the path.
Cattle Egret on its own this afternoon in the sheep field at the W end of Stockland Marshes, close to the village. At least 13 Little Egrets spread around the edges of the marsh.

The Cattle Egret was seen again at Steart Marshes WWT today, flying low West over the road from Otterhampton Marshes towards Stockland Marsh at 09:45
