A count of 37 Red-throated diver recorded drifting back on the ebbing tide just after high water this morning was made difficult as they were actively feeding and diving for long periods of time probably feeding on the abundance of herring, sprats and channel whiting which are currently in our part of the channel at the moment,Brian G had a larger count of 69 Red-throated diver earlier in the week wiyh a much calmer sea.The diver numbers should peak now over the xmas period then slowly disperse in the New year
