Hordes of photographers today, but only one late-appearing owl. Are we starting to scare them off? Ring tail harrier seen a few times in the field bordering Wall Common.
Up to 7 Short Eared Owls at Steart in the fields just before Wall Common at the weekend, plus a female Hen Harrier and a passing Brambling!
Lots of Skylarks present too, always a delight to see! 😊

Three SEOS at Steart Marshes this afternoon. hunting along the Parrett near the pylons at 15:30.
It’s approx 1 mile east, there was no sign of them yesterday am.
That’s the yeo between ilchester & langport, as there are quite a lot of them in Somerset…

One Short Eared Owl again in field close to Aller Drove Bridge. Also 3 Goosander, 2 female, 1 male on River Sowey in opposite direction
Two Short Eared Owls in fields between Aller Drove Bridge and Aller church at 4 this afternoon.
2 seen this morning along the River Yeo near Long Load. Went back this afternoon and one still there.
