Can anybody help to ID a call I heard this evening near Roadwater. 8.30 pm. Definitely sounded like an owl. Five or six fairly rapid notes all the same. More of an “uh” than a “hoo” and not particularly deep in pitch but deeper than the “ hoo hoo hoo” of a tawny. Called four or five times that I heard.
