A shame about the 24hr delay in the news being released, having birded at Ham Wall from 10am and being at Noah’s from 12:30 it may have been useful for other observers to have the chance to see both the YBW and Bonaparte’s gull. Unusual for Bonaparte’s not to linger, so should be relocated very soon for others to enjoy.
First year Bonapartes Gull at Noahs Lake Shapwick on Sunday about mid day hawking insects with Black headed Gulls also briefly landed before being flushed by Marsh Harrier and flying west across lake with other gulls
