Dunlin on west side of reservoir late afternoon. Only one mandarin duck again which seems to be limping. Also two mistle thrushes and two green woodpeckers.
I managed two visits today, my first for over a month. The first produced a Common sand (probably a returning bird I’d imagine) whilst a walk around this evening produced a Curlew through NW, and good no’s of gulls. Worth checking the roost at some point as there are a few Med gulls on the move now.
Several whitethroats coming up from the field with rosebay willow herb on the east side and singing occasionally this afternoon. Juvenile bullfinch and juvenile robin on Holwell Lane. Songthrush, greenfinches and chiffchaffs still singing.
Three sandpipers flew down near the sailing club this morning. I thought they may have been green but I only had my bins and they were disturbed by a jogger before I could get close enough to confirm.
