Drive along Chilton Drove this morning produced Chiiffchaff, Whitethroat, Blackcap etc. Cuckoo calling for most of morning from the west. Grasshopper warblers heard and one then found reeling from the top of a bramble bush.
Visit to Tealham moor had skylarks singing.
Somewhat distant pictures of the grasshopper warbler on my Flickr page.

A Cycle ride along Chilton Drove this morning produced at least 8 Whitethroat, 1 Lesser Whitethroat was heard, 2 Grasshopper Warbler reeling fairly near each other and one was seen, 1 Sedge Warbler plus singing Blackcap, Chiff Chaff,Willow Warbler, Reed Bunting and Skylark. I did not see any hirundines although I passed several farms, I know there are a few Swallows about locally but there must be still a lot to come in.
