Not a rarity or particularly noteworthy as a species but, I have a juvenile GSW visiting my feeding station and the area between the top of the beak and the red crown is very obviously pink. It almost looks as though the red colour of the crown has leached and run down the forehead! There is no mention of this in my Collins guide (it refers to brownish-white, but this is definitely pink) and I don’t believe that I have seen this on other juvenile GSW.
