Latest visit lunchtime today resulted as per my two previous visits in the last 10 days, virtually nothing here!
Max number of duck per visit 6 ( Mallard and Teal). Greylag 20 but nil today!  Snipe $,  Lapwing 100, mostly fly overs. Occasional Marsh Harrier and a single G.W. Egret. Problem I suspect is the lack of water coupled with high vegetation, there is no really large clear area of open water that any duck present can retire to for safety when threatened by aerial predators. they may feed here by night? but probably leave at first light. I will have to await the monsoon season.
