Presumably the same Great Grey Shrike was in a clearing in the Quantock Forest this morning before flying off high over the trees towards the area above Triscombe Quarry.

The Great Grey Shrike still present this late morning and showing well at the same place - the SW slope of Great Hill above Little Quantock Farm. Many thanks to Brian Gibbs who pointed it out to me when I got there.

Reports suggest no sign of the shrike today despite several observers looking.

The Great Grey Shrike was still around today, favouring Little Quantock Combe, between Great Hill and Fire Beacon, at approx ST153368. Access from Crowcombe Park Gate or Triscombe Stone - the walk is probably a bit shorter from Crowcombe Park Gate.

Still around this afternoon in scattered trees where Brian saw it, disappeared for extensive periods though.

A Great Grey Shrike on the Quantocks this morning at Great Hill. First reported yesterday when on east side of Great Hill. This morning on south side at ST153364. Not very far away from Marrow Hill where there was one two winters ago.
