Glad that everything is now working properly, Jeff. It wasn’t clear what the problem was so we had to create a new membership group with over 500 people and move them over! It seems to have worked. Aplogies to all of those affected!

Everything now seems to be working OK and can again access the home page on my desktop PC running Windows XP and unsupported Google Chrome browser. Thank you.

Have found this work around to the problem.

On my Windows XP computer, using Windows Internet Explorer as the browser, type in and enter http://www.somersetbirding.org.uk/

This brought up the following page…

What are you running, Alison? I have Windows 7, which is fine.
I’ll check with our web people on Monday. One of the reasons for the upgrade was the fact that several systems are no longer supported by Microsoft and Google so it may explain why some people are having difficulty. Jeff mentioned XP, which Microsoft no longer supports.

Still can’t access it Rob, and get the same message as before:

This on my desktop PC running Windows XP and a no longer supported Google Chrome browser, which used to allow me access up till now.

Access is OK on my laptop running on Widows 7 and a supported Google Chrome browser

It should be OK now, Jeff. I can access all parts of the site on my PC and iPad.

I can get straight into the Forum Home and subsequently into all that hangs below it, but can’t get into the SOS home page:

Is it still down?

Please note that this website will be down soon (most likely tomorow) for upgrades, which should take no more than a day.

A notice will be put on the site while it is closed.
