Thanks, Simon. When we were setting up the original sites we discovered there was a bug in Google maps that was causing some problems in pinpointing locations. I’ve corrected the location on the site and changed the postcode.

Great work adding the new sites. Just browsing, I have spotted that the pin on the map for Staple Hill is not quite in the right place. The plantation car park is SSW of the pin (which is on a road called Staple Hill with no access to the site), just opposite Farm Lane. Might be confusing for someone not familiar with the area.

We’ve added three more sites to the Birding Sites section - Chard Reservoir, Steart (Bridgwater Bay NNR) and Wayford Woods. The latter is one of the less well known sites in the county. As we’ve seen recently at Yeovil, you never know what will turn up where!

Some of the published sites do not yet have a photo. If you have a good photo for any of them, please send it to us (via the Gallery page). The ideal size is around 1000 px by 460 px but, if you can’t reduce the size, don’t worry.

Once we have a complete set of photos, we will publish the names of the photographers, where possible.
