Thankyou to all attended our members afternoon and AGM yesterday and especially thanks to all who helped and provided cakes! After the AGM business we enjoyed talks on the work of Lesser-spotted Woodpecker Network, particularly in the woods of the Quantocks and Exmoor , by Gus Robin . You can read about this project in the latest Somerset Birds report. Brian Hill talked about Spotted Flycatchers , a now sadly declining species and Eve Tigwell updated us on BTO surveys both ongoing and new surveys. there are quite a few areas available for both BBS and WeBS surveys so get in touch with her or check out the BTO website if you are interested.
