Thankyou to all those who attended the Members afternoon and AGM last Saturday. Following the AGM chaired by Stephen Moss and a talk by Stephen there were several other short talks and updates on aspects of Somerset birding. Members enjoyed the tea and cake , especially the rock cakes , a SOS meeting speciality!  The opportunity to meet together in person was appreciated as this was our first in person meeting for some time. Thankyou too to all those who helped on the day , setting up and clearing away, serving refreshments and washing up etc and helping with the tech. Do let us know if you have any thoughts ideas etc for future events.
The society is also in great need of web administrators following the resignation of our long serving webmaster Rob. , the website is an important method of communicating with members and although the forum continues to work we are unable to update other content at present. Web administrators would need to be members of the society and preferably willing to serve on the general committee.

A reminder that the Members afternoon and AGM are this Saturday 11th November at Cheddon Fitzpaine Hall at 2pm. Our first indoor gathering for some time so a good chance to meet up with other members, there is no charge and there will be tea, coffee, and cake!

The AGM and members afternoon will be held on Saturday November 11th at 2pm 2023 at Cheddon Fitzpaine Memorial Hall, TA2 8JY. Following the AGM there will be a talk by Stephen Moss and some short talks and updates on aspects of Somerset Birding. Refreshments will be provided.

Any offers of help on the day particularly with the refreshments and helping set up and clear away will be gratefully accepted .
