Now I find according to Somerset travel roadworks map that the Ashcott -Meare road will be open be open next Saturday( road closure the following week)  so we will go back to original plan of having the field meeting at Shapwick Heath, Meeting at Ashcott corner NE car park at 9:30am . Sorry for the confusion but not my fault!

Unfortunately I have just found out that the road between Shapwick and Westhay is also being closed from 15th -20th September so this venue will be inaccessible. Please wait for further updates as I decide the best thing to do.

Due to the road from Ashcott to Meare past Ashcott Corner being closed for resurfacing over the next week or so and it not being certain which parts of the road might be open on Saturday I have decided to move the SOS field meeting to Shapwick Moor, the Hawk and Owl reserve and on to Canada Farm hide. Meet at the Hawk and Owl car park, north of Shapwick village,  ST 418399 at 9:30am
