Message from Lundy FS:
“Discovering Lundy’s Butterflies & Moths
Tuesday 13th October, 7.30pm
Following the success of the online talks during lockdown, we’re starting a new series for the autumn and winter! Andrew Cleave will be kicking off the new series of monthly talks.
We have all seen butterflies on the wing on sunny days on Lundy, and even the occasional day-flying moth, but at night a whole new world is revealed as both resident and migrant moths take to the wing. Many of them have highly cryptic markings, rendering them almost invisible during the day. Some will have spent their whole life-cycle on the island, whilst others, like many of the rare birds which visit Lundy, will have made long migrations to get to the island.
