Ok. Thanks for loooking into it anyway.

FYI, the forum I access is only using the ‘free version’ and even though there are some adverts they aren’t annoying.  I just prefer using the Tapatalk app rather than the mobile browsers and like the quick views of the latest posts and notifications side of it.

I’ve looked further into this and can report as follows.

In terms of end-users Tapatalk is a 3rd party system designed for forums that don’t work well on mobiles and aren’t responsive – probably most forums.
However Tapatalk make their money through adverts placed over your content, along with slapping their logo and branding over the top. Its basically an advertising platform for blogs and forums. A forum/site owner needs to sign up for it and there is a monthly charge to have the non-advert version – so it isn’t free unless you have their ads.

Our website designers designed our site, especially the Forums, to work well on desktop, tablet and mobile, so there is no benefit to the Society in signing up for it.

Hi

I use Tapatalk to access another forum (non birding) from my phone and was wondering if I could access this forum too - but I can’t find it on a search in Tapatalk.

Is this forum set up to use Tapatalk?  If not, is it possible to enable it (assuming the forum software has that option).

Thanks

Jen
