This afternoon I counted up to 178 marsh frogs along water embankments in one area covering about 15m.Only 5 of these were adults,the rest being mostly first year and second year judging by size.Normally I don’t get a look in with these guys,they are highly alert but for some reason today was different.They were all basking in the sun,singing infrequently with youngsters lined up like dominos on floating debris.Thrilling to see this.
