The Otter was seen again on the scrape at around midday and offered good views. It eventually caught an Eel before dissappearing in to the reeds on the right. Later on the Cattle Egrets arrived and remained there until I left ( 5:00pm ). On my way back I saw a Red Kite which drifted over from ‘’ Noahs ‘’ and headed off North east over Mere heath where it was mobbed by a Crow. This all happened yesterday ( 26th ) and I apologise for the late posting.

8 Cattle Egrets flew-in and landed at about 18:25, they stayed until 18:55 and then flew off to the north, low over the canal and adjacent Estates Ground where lost to view. The Black-winged Stilt was still present up to 19:45 as we left, at which time a single Glossy Ibis flew-in and landed. Also 2 Little Ringed Plovers present on the near island.
