On a squally Hurlstone Pt this morning diver numbers were down from previous visits with just 4 Red- throats passing the headland other birds of note were
27 Auks
4 Fulmar
25 Kittiwake
2 Little Gull both 1st w
40+ Wood pigeon
further along the coast just east of Watchet at Helwell bay 5 purple sandpiper were in with the wader roost below the cliff top as you walk out from the carpark ,this was over HW on a neap tide
Hurlstone Pt this morning saw a single Black-throated diver in with 61 Red-throats a good deal of which were drifting on the tide feeding also present were a few Auks including 4 Guillemot in summer plumage Ca20 Common Gull and a single Harbour porpoise
Later at Wimbleball dam 47 Goosander were counted in to roost though as i was leaving in the dark they were still flying in ,making my way back up to the carpark 2 Tawny owls were heard calling
