Red Kite over Bruton, 9:30 this morning.
A red kite was seen on the 21st June between East and West Horrington. It was over a field that had been cut recently , the grass had been turned and was being collected, there several Buzzards and a few sea gulls but just the one red kite.
A pair of Red Kites seen at Bruton. These birds were present all afternoon, and comments from local people indicated that they are there on a permanent basis. They can be observed easily from the car park at the Hauser & Wirth Gallery to the south of the town.
One flew over Bleadon Village at 11.20 today. Spotted soaring over Hellenge Hill(usually good for buzzards) , but flew west over the centre of the village, towards Purn Hill and Uphill
Is this a bit far north to report sitings??
Two seen over Keenthorne east of Nether Stowey today. Flying in unison and one was calling to the other. Flew NE, then circled above before heading S from view. Although i did not see them, the description given was good for RK. Shown photo’s and played audio which confirmed it. Gutted to miss them, they where low enough to see the eyes.

Red Kite flew quite low over Ash fishing ponds this afternoon at 1600. Headed off in a north-easterly direction.
One battling the winds and rain low over Bishopswood on the Blackdowns. Drifting Westward at 11am.
One Red Kite flying through Steart Marshes this afternoon , lost site of it over Walpole tip in the distance
One east over Larkhill, Yeovil 12:10 today.
One over Grove Avenue Yeovil at 1300 hr
4 Red Kites viewed from Morrisons Wells car park at 17:00 this afternoon, all rising up on a thermal before 3 drifted off in the direction of Launcherly and one drifted in a northerly direction.
