Again, no sign 0800-1000hrs today despite a wider search. Singles of Blackcap and Grey Wagtail were the best I managed.

No sign of any YBW this morning, and only 1 Goldcrest between the bridges. Seemed to be a scattering of Goldcrests elsewhere though so it may still be in the area. Also, 1 Treecreeper (my first here in several years), 2 Grey Wagtails, 3 Song Thrush, 1 Bullfinch and 2 GSWoodpeckers.

One still present this morning at 10:30, though it was elusive in the cold wind. Seemed to be associating with Long-tailed Tit flock.

One showing very well this morning between 9.00 & 10.00am even feeding amongst the leaf litter on the ground, seemed to like the company of a goldcrest.

One YBW present on and off during the morning until 13:30 - usual location. Very mobile once again, making good photographs a bit of a challenge!

YBW Warbler still present yesterday, associating with Blue Tits and a Gold crest, between the two bridges and flitting back and forth at the top of the coppiced pussy willows along the stream. I was about to give up after a 45mins search when two fellow birders spotted it.Many thanks to the chap from Bristol who called me over as i was about to leave. This really is an excellent habitat in the depths of yeovil.

Both YBW showing very well again this morning in the long awaited sunshine that I have been hoping for all week. Siberian Chiffchaff also present on and off during the morning plus at least one visit by a Firecrest, probably the same one sighted here last week. All in all, a nice early Christmas present. Merry Christmas to one and all.
